BUSINESS NETWORK ALLIANCE, referred to by its members
as BNA, is a Houston networking club whose objective
is to provide an association to promote the business
and services of its members by the following methods:
By each member supplying information to their
fellow members which may be of
benefit to them.
By each member using the individual services or
products of their fellow
members. The standard which should be applied
to this provision shall be:
"ALL OTHER THINGS BEING EQUAL, I SHALL SEEK
OUT THE MEMBER REPRESENTING A PARTICULAR BUSINESS
OR PROFESSION UNLESS I FEEL THERE IS SOME REASON
THAT THIS PERSON IS NOT COMPLETELY COMPETENT TO
FULFILL MY NEED OR THE PRICE OF THEIR SERVICE
OR THEIR PRODUCT IS NOT IN LINE WITH THE SAME
SERVICE OR PRODUCT I CAN OBTAIN ELSEWHERE. "
By recommending to those outside the Club the
services, products or activities offered by members
of the Club.
By employing any legitimate method available which
may aid our fellow member.
Club meets weekly on Wednesday mornings for breakfast
at a restaurant in Town & Country in west
Houston. Periodic social gatherings occur at member
businesses, member homes and public establishments.
Generally, there is at least one event per quarter.
The highlight of the Social calendar each year is
the annual Christmas Party.
member is classified in accordance with their business
or profession. The classification of each member is
that which covers the principal and recognized activity
of the firm, company, or institution with which they
are connected, or, if he or she be independently engaged,
the classification shall be that which covers principal
and recognized business or professional activity.
membership shall consist of but one person from each
field of business or profession unless the business
or profession is a specialized area of the field and
there is no objection by any member of the Club.
member shall be of good character and good business
or professional reputation, engaged in a particular
line of endeavor, and personally and actively engaged
within the Houston area in the business or profession
in which he or she is classified with the Club.
pay dues and assessments annually and purchase breakfast or coffee for themselves. The membership
of any member whose dues are not current or who is
absent unexcused from three consecutive regularly
scheduled meetings of the Club may be terminated by
the Board of Directors.
