ABOUT BUSINESS NETWORK ALLIANCE

The BUSINESS NETWORK ALLIANCE, referred to by its members as BNA, is a Houston networking club whose objective is to provide an association to promote the business and services of its members by the following methods:

  1. By each member supplying information to their fellow members which may be of
    benefit to them.
  2. By each member using the individual services or products of their fellow
members. The standard which should be applied to this provision shall be:
"ALL OTHER THINGS BEING EQUAL, I SHALL SEEK OUT THE MEMBER REPRESENTING A PARTICULAR BUSINESS OR PROFESSION UNLESS I FEEL THERE IS SOME REASON THAT THIS PERSON IS NOT COMPLETELY COMPETENT TO FULFILL MY NEED OR THE PRICE OF THEIR SERVICE OR THEIR PRODUCT IS NOT IN LINE WITH THE SAME SERVICE OR PRODUCT I CAN OBTAIN ELSEWHERE. "
  3. By recommending to those outside the Club the services, products or activities offered by members of the Club.
  4. By employing any legitimate method available which may aid our fellow member.

The Club meets weekly on Wednesday mornings for breakfast at a restaurant in Town & Country in west Houston. Periodic social gatherings occur at member businesses, member homes and public establishments. Generally, there is at least one event per quarter. The highlight of the Social calendar each year is the annual Christmas Party.

Each member is classified in accordance with their business or profession. The classification of each member is that which covers the principal and recognized activity of the firm, company, or institution with which they are connected, or, if he or she be independently engaged, the classification shall be that which covers principal and recognized business or professional activity.

The membership shall consist of but one person from each field of business or profession unless the business or profession is a specialized area of the field and there is no objection by any member of the Club.

Each member shall be of good character and good business or professional reputation, engaged in a particular line of endeavor, and personally and actively engaged within the Houston area in the business or profession in which he or she is classified with the Club.

Members pay dues and assessments annually and purchase breakfast or coffee for themselves. The membership of any member whose dues are not current or who is absent unexcused from three consecutive regularly scheduled meetings of the Club may be terminated by the Board of Directors.

If you are interested in networking with an interesting and energized group of business people, becoming a member of the Business Network Alliance (BNA) could well be one of the most positive steps you could take in improving your business and/or your career.
